Classes begin February 25, 2012

 

Classes will be held at the Community Room at Fairfax Center.
This room is located above the Guaranty Bank building located on Hwy 151 S. between
 Cedar Rapids and Fairfax, approximately 8-10 minutes west of our prior retail location
 on Southgate Place. It is a beautiful facility with lots of room and natural light! 
There is plenty of parking, comfortable seating and a full kitchen (Coffee!! Mmmm!)
 
Bead Haven will be on site and have supplies available
 the day of the class. We'll have extra goodies too!
 
Our first classes scheduled are:
 
 

Basic Stringing and Crimping & Basic Earrings with Cindi

10:15-11:00 (Offered again at 2:30-3:15)

Beginning class for anyone interested the techniques used to make jewelry.

You’ll leave with a finished bracelet and earrings!

FREE CLASS + $15 Materials Fee

 

 
Wire Wrapped Beads with Jeanne Barta Craine
9:00-11:00
Learn the technique of making bead cages!
Good for beginners or anyone interested in wire-working.
Class Fee $25 +supplies
 
 
 
Precious Metal Clay (PMC) Silver Slide Tubes with Cristina Leonard
9:30-12:30
These slide tubes make a great addition to your hand-made jewelry.
   Add them to a chain, cord, or a woven bangle!
Good class for beginners or experienced PMC users.
(If you have prior PMC experience and slide tubes isn't your project of choice - pick another  PMC project that
stays within the same parameters of the slide tubes. i.e. using the same tools and nothing overly complicated.)

This new class is for intermediate or advanced bead weavers -
and will teach odd-count herringbone! (that's right odd-count herringbone!)

Wrapped Cuff or Pendant with Jeanne Barta Craine
11:30-1:30
Another great wire working class.  Take your pick of a cuff or pendant to
make.  Either one of these projects make a great gift - No need to worry about size.
Use your orphan beads or buy a great mix on class day!
Class Fee $25 +supplies
 
 
Precious Metal Clay (PMC) Silver Toggle with Cristina Leonard
1:30-4:30
Make a your own fine silver toggle to go with that special bracelet or necklace!
Good class for beginners or experienced PMC users.
(If you have prior PMC experience and a toggles isn't up your alley - pick another  PMC project that
stays within the same parameters of the toggle. i.e. using the same tools and nothing overly complicated.)
Class Fee $50  + Kit Fee starting @ $40

Sidewinder Bracelet with Jeanne Barta Craine
2:00-4:30
Beautiful woven bracelet using a flat spiral technique.
Looks like  jewelry store caliber!
Good project for someone with basic bead weaving experience
 (or someone used to working with thread and needle)
